Photography/Graphic Design

Registration Closed

July 10-14    8:30 am-11:30 am

Single Session Fee: $60

Instructor: Mr. McGough

In this course students will create a variety of projects using a combination of their camera and digital enhancement tools in Photoshop. Our projects will take us both in the studio as well as outside.

The students will cover optimizing the camera's settings, basic portrait techniques, image compositing, graphic/logo design, layering techniques, and altering/restoring images digitally.

We will shoot and process photos on the computer all week long and prepare our best for a photo gallery that we will present on the final session.

Students will also use Photoshop to create graphics and logos that are vector based so that they can be resized without quality loss. We will also use digital compositing techniques to layer images to recreate your favorite movie poster.

Each student will walk away with electronic versions of all of their photos and projects as well as several printed versions of some of their best.

Requirements:

Each photographer must have a digital camera that they can use for the week. The camera does not need to be fancy, but should have a removable card or a USB cable so that we can easily transfer the images from the camera to the computer for editing.

This class will have a maximum of 15 students and must have at least 13 students for the course to run.

Learn to make your photos pop with real life color and clarity.

Learn to repair and restore damaged photos and remove unwanted items from them.
